Welcome to the Alumni page!

At Career Advising and Professional Development, we support students and alumni on a journey of self-discovery, enabling them to build a challenging career and a rewarding life – and empowering them to make a difference in the world.

Graduating this year? Be sure to fill out the Graduating Student Survey or the MIT Doctoral Student Exit Survey when it reaches your inbox. Results from past years of outcome survey are on our Post-Graduate and Summer Outcomes page and are helpful for exploring potential career paths, options for graduate school, prepare for interviewing, and negotiating job offers.

Take your Handshake account with you after graduation

Within 6 months of graduating from MIT…
Please update your Handshake account with your new MIT alumni address. You can “add another email” by logging in to Handshake > clicking on your initials or photo in the top right-hand corner > Settings > “Add another email.” It’s that easy! With your Handshake account, you can continue to participate in workshops, presentations, career fairs, job applications, and more.

Beyond 6 months from MIT graduation…
Please email  to share your new alumni email address and request that your Handshake email on record be changed to the alumni address. Once that change is made by CAPD, you will be able to access Handshake to view workshops, presentations, career fairs, job opportunities, and more.
